Is the affiliate program closed? I haven’t gotten any notification about this and I can’t find anything on Purism’s social media or website.

It is possible that this was an unintended consequence of the DDoS attack that they had on their web sites. It depends on what “a while now” means.
As the previous reply says, only Purism can answer this sort of question.
