Dear purists,
recently I was travelling with several transit stops in airports where electric sockets don’t always work and each time I plugged my laptop to charge, I would have to take it out of my bag, out of its protective cover, and open the lid to see if the battery light was coming on and therefore the socket worked.
Previously, with the macbook I was using, plugging in the laptopto charge would automatically light up the LED at the end of the power connector.
Could Pursim (@mladen) consider adding a small power LED on the side of the laptop, next to the power entry socket? This would allow one to simply open the corner of the laptop where the power socket sits (most protective jackets have a zip that can be partially opened to reveal only that corner of the laptop) and therefore plug the power lead and see if the battery is indeed charging.
