Very rare as i do not have video too just now on power5, as i have all tricked to not touch blobs plus on a experimental level debian.
2 days ago stopped rebooting power5 on rare case, as corrupted grub.
@budullanza I dont recommend to you to switching to Power, because its very-addictive; please stick with x86.

I have tried also a nvidia card, but in this case the system hang on boot.
Why don’t use the old coreboot rom as reported some message ago? Because I don’t know why, after replacing the ram (I had remove it, used on other kgpe-d16 board..the rom stop to work!)
I have tried: removing the battery, use the rom with blobs, reset the ram registers with shortcut pin, nothing works
Before tried kgpe-d16 and coreboot roms remind give a lot of troubles
I also try to add with cbftool the vgabios.bin to coreboot rom, restart and..same thing

Gnu gnulinux 7.1-64k pagesize powerpc and nouveau driver is working…i using just now.
I did a bad 64k test on 7.2 last day but it is ready from 7.1+
Firefoxppc64be still do not get working as issues on makefiles which force altivec v3 on Altivec v2 CPUs which make HUNG. but i close…

there also some pieces available, but they send it in 7 months, I have buy the latest available 
Why? Because old zalman 310 has some strange “brown piece” in the radiator and the smell burn my nose and lung, I have tried this one and I hope finally solve those problem, consider Zalman LQ-310 were used and this one is new. I have recycle the modded Zalman-310 attach.
Next upgrades
Another news about the “myth” of full-hw open pc. If you use a free bios (canoeboot, gnuboot) the proprietary amd bin code (ucode, firmware) is not loaded, same thing using a free kernel gnu. The problem is the 6200 series of Opteron (and 6300 too) are exposed to some know hardware bugs (spectre, mds) and the system became really unstable if used at high load or using kvm virtualization.
So two solutions
a: don’t use kvm and don’t stress the cpu 
b: use a distro which include the (proprietary) amd firmware
The kgpe-d16 project remain “secure” but not 100% free as many people think, without the amd-firmware the system can became unusable or really unstable (will remind to old users the glorious times of Windows 98 I remind i had one-two crash per day minimum)
Actually the only way to get a really 100% Open hw is use Thalos workstation, only two problems
Remind in any case Kgpe-d16+Opteron is more secure (until a new hw bug will came and Amd of course will refuse to fix) than modern cpu’s which have amd psp or Intel-me (there are also some “server variants” with different names) which are in my opinion a remote control (remind me the backorifice of Glorious 2000’s when I use Windows 98 (No Linux at this time cause of infamous winmodem!).
That’s all.
I also going to buy 3 news computers, all 3 are Freescale, 2 powerpc computers and 1 arm-bottleneck-but-etnaviv. All three are theoretically compatible with free software and Libreboot.
Also there are a lot of things improved on debian big-endian. It work really nice ppc-be just now.

I forget, there is another PPC Freescale computer, so maybe i buy all 4 new computers.
But from 4 new computers, only 1 ppc is available, the second is the arm-bottleneck-but-etnaviv but not ready yet but close, the 2 rest is unknown the availability, it is supposed to be this year.
One big problem i have is that i can not enjoy all my wonderfull computers at same time. One of my favorite computer RYF Thinkpad x60 i have 3 month without touch it. = (

So if you want to see gnu gnulinux like a fish in the water is on Raptor computers.
One of the FSF associate members has talked to them. They confirmed that they are still selling the systems. So, “Out of stock” should not be read literally. As far as I understand, they do not sell the CPUs separately, for example.
Used devices are sometimes offered by other buyers on their community forum.
I also saw some components, such as RAM, being offered on the FSF’s forum for associate members. Obviously, there are users there.
One could also try asking on IRC or elsewhere.
I don’t know whether this is more or less reliable than buying over eBay. I have never tried myself.
However, I imagine that the owners will now be less willing to part with their Talos and Blackbird systems considering that POWER 9 is now EoL and it will be more difficult to get in the future.
Yes, that is what I was reffering to. They still sell those, they just assemble them as requested. And they do not sell CPUs separately from the motherboards, for example. The heatsinks may be of a different design, and so on.
Yeah they changed to noctua heatsinks.
I really sad that one of the most aggressive things on Power9 like SFORZA i never tested, as it need special air-intake superflow to cpu heatsink, otherwise do not turn 0n even if sforza is enabled.
I imagine that sforza it will sound like a rocket blasting off into space. 
Good, nice to know. Actually this system is one of the few 100% free hw. The only problem is for rich, like those fantastic cars (sorry for off-topic, but class pc go fine with class cars)

The site said “nvidia 710” but is really too generic, anyway I also bought a 710 “modern” nvidia card and I lost money, don’t work without proprietary blobs, works but with 3d disabled (sic!)
It is NVK VULKAN who stopping me to migrate to Debian Big-Endian on Power9. However i need milestone Vulkan on power 64k at minimun to stay on Trisquel Ecne Little-Endian.
I moved to Quark for 30 days before to tackle this on Gnu gnulinux so this mean that i will have more than 2 month without touch Raptor computer. I am full sstresed on Gnulinux via linux-opensource.
RYF Thinkpad-T400 3 year without touch it. I did a very nice config here, as it ship a still gnu ryf xtreme intel serie overclocked cpu.
Also big-endian removal on Mesa, was canceled. I am happy to have been a defender for big-endian PowerPC there.
In fact this is why i using Quark because its powerpc big-endian only than Linux86
