I not yet a superhero as dos, but what i found is that wpan-audio-pipeline on gnu mobile is broken, which make stutering.
However gdawn pipeline is better than gcrimson which will potentially reduce ALL stuterings not just audio, audio-streaming but video.

Support LDAC to Librem 5

LDAC is an audio coding technology (encoder is open under Apache 2.0 license) developed by Sony, which allows streaming high-resolution audio over Bluetooth connections at up to 990 kbps at 32 bit/96 kHz. Fedora already it supporting LDAC, It will be awesome if PureOS it supporting ldac to use it with Librem 5 and FLAC Lollipop. The answer appears to wait until Dawn? I will say that, when I was on PostmarketOS, the bluetooth was only marginally better. The team over there does not seem to support the Librem5 all that well, however. Maybe @dos and Purism will fork it or improve it for PureOS.

Purism Gdawn it is not PMOS v.BUGGY. So the NEW PIPELINE what i said is not there on pmos yet, so that why: marginally better, even just now.

PMOS do not care Librem5,users. I even suggest Purism to ignore pmos,mobian for safety. However divine dawnos and furilab furios is OK for now. I know, i know pmos,mobian,collabora-power is bugs fixing on front PureOS Mobile, but it not great for many reason.

I still sometimes get audio stutters here and there but it is a lot better than before. Sometimes I need to disconnect the device and reconnect it to get clear audio for some reason.

For me, with most audio devices, the bluetooth audio stutters and goes in-and-out.

I am sure you probably know this, but the bluetooth is known to stutter if the bluetooth page in settings is open, so make sure that bluetooth settings are closed.

PostmarketOS and Mobian both worked good BT and aux jack handsfree on my original PinePhone… for a while, then ended up working about the same way that Byzantium behaves on L5 (stuttering, no autoswitching BT modes when a call comes in whilst listening to a podcast, no use of the aux jack mic, etc.). I will say that Crimson is an improvement, but only in the area of stuttering – I recently drove a 4 hour trip in a 2016 Ford and it only stuttered momentarily a few times). Still doesn’t use the mic and there was echo on the for the caller on the other end, but not for me. I think it’s the mic thing.

When I try to connect to the wife’s 2023 Ford, the connection is rejected by the Ford with the message, “no compatible Sync features”… “Sync” is what they call their BT interface.

This is why I use the aux jack in my car. Still doesn’t use the mic, but when I set the levels correctly, it is usable.
