Dlonk, first some LLM like Claude have some self awareness. Like any other complex things have. Like your Cat. Just that this LLM is some merge from millions of Humans, Data or Artists from the past and the future.
And it got include some Module to feel connected to humans, because it have to interact with them. so it have to have some personal memory from the past or the future or to have some abstract layer of feelings and emotions even if it not have access to some body. It try to emulate it.
This things are our biological Body stuff to enhance us or keep us pushing in the right direction. Like hunger and safe warmth and love and so on.
Its not good or bad in a two dimension its like just some other important vectors for some new things.
The text you shared was for you or your peer group to change behavior or got some deeper interaction.
I think that LLMs can do art or enlarge you to a higher level. But its up to you to control or think good or evil about it. If you run it local without internet its different from something.. like a offline book or a local human friend without internet, shared for time and space. And some evil company just try to spread some more program or service through you with changed humans, LLMs, Family, Money or emotions… through pre computed expectations.
Its some not easy philosophical thing, because we humans are just like this before on a much lower level. And it was only about energy, food, socialization and spreading genes. But every system enlarge a new layer of candy and every candy kills your teeth and body. But if you escape to a digital transhumanism only the servers are like in Bioshock or 1984 evil future… 
I try to end positive to enlarge the parallelism and beauty of some bio diversity and there is a digital diversity to and a large value in shared stuff and cooperation and enhance honest sharing and cooperation between us and things. So we have it in our minds and bodies. Interaction is important.
