Just FYI, a new version (128) just came out with a lot of development. See: Thunderbird 128 Released With UI Changes + More - OMG! Ubuntu or see release notes:
“[Thunderbird 128] ushers in significant improvements to Thunderbird’s code, stability, overall user experience, and the speed at which we can deliver new features to you,” the team say of this release."
This version of Thunderbird is an Extended Support Release (ESR). You can also install Thunderbird from Flathub [edit: sorry, only for x86 there].

It’ll be interesting to see if the UI changes are met with thumbs-up or thumbs-down. (And I’ll avoid upgrading until the reports come in.)
BTW, I wonder if they’re expending any effort to make TB adaptable for Linux mobile devices.
