even Kodi works great on the phone. But if there would be a newer version of kodi and all addons, it would be great.
There are also no addons for kodi, only repositories work.

The thing to check would be: what version of Kodi comes with Byzantium and what version of Kodi comes with Crimson? which you might have to track through via the underlying Debian versions.
