I tried that a while back. But the Mac export into word was terrible. It lost all formatting.
Libreoffice did a better job importing the apple pages zip format.

I thank everybody for the awesome input here.
I will have to save some money now to buy a Librem. Your input has greatly helped to reach that decision.

Okular is a great PDF Linux program as well potentially worth checking out if you haven’t found something that suits your needs.
