How to install KDE?

Hi, I’m getting back into working on my Librem 13 and reinstalled PureOS from the OEM installer.

Gnome really gets in my way all the time though and I’d prefer to run KDE. However, are the repos broken? Or an I supposed to install KDE some other way?

$ apt install kde-standard

Will do, thanks for the super fast response!

Don’t forget to do:

sudo apt update && sudo apt full-upgrade before trying to install anything.

That procedure worked well and now I have an OS I understand how to use. :wink:
I appreciate Gnome is experimenting with their vision for the future, but it mostly just confuses me.

And definitely yes, be sure to update your system fully before trying to switch desktop systems.
For me, this time, it was a fresh PureOS install that was fully updated.
Still not sure why ‘apt install kde-standard’ wouldn’t work, but I guess it doesn’t really matter.
