Is using chromium is safe in pure os

I installed Chromium from the Linux Mint software manager, opened it, did some brief browsing, changed some settings, including disallowing all cookies and turning off “Safe Browsing”…i.e. “Unsafe/non-private Browsing”…then closed Chromium.

My network DNS resolver, controlled by Pi-Hole, is Quad9.

In the Pi-Hole dashboard, I started blacklisting Google connections as they popped up, causing them to make further connection attempts.

Then I purged Chromium…and needed a shower!

P.S. I don’t know if the version of Chromium packaged in PureOS is different from the one in Linux Mint, but someone can certainly test it the way I did, if they want.
