Unlikely. It will sure be in dawn though.
Want to hazard a questimation for dawns arrival?
Four years.
My goal is to get dawn done soon after crimson. I see crimson more as a stepping stone towards dawn rather than goal on its own.
This of course assumes that development will continue at a reasonable pace
WOW. You are my HERO!
Whatever Mobian, Postmarket versions, Gnu PureOS still the best via dos.
Wait, aren’t Crimson and Dawn being worked on in tandem?
Byzantium and Crimson are (ability to update from the former to the latter).
Dawn exists and gets synced with Trixie, and when rebasing stuff for Crimson I tried to simultaneously do it for Dawn as well whenever feasible. It’s already in better shape than Crimson was for most of its life, but I’m not focusing on it until Crimson is considered released and I never even booted it so far (though the images should be already buildable).
I will try testing some stuff in QEMU for Crimson and try testing Dawn images as well (at some point).
I respect your work flow dos - but this broadcast message is available if i use some energy consumption script will listen on the debug log of my modem. Guido Gunther posted this already in this thread.
So yes still have a Android or Apple Phone right now near you for emergency - some old one is enough. But your L5 will do the job in future i am sure.
This do not sound like a thank you, but thank you very much dos for your work.
Edit: There may be some different solution for your country… so dos may be right about down and the L5. Stay tuned to your local service!
It sure is and has been since the very beginning - but that’s just not what I’d consider “CBS working in PureOS”. Modem’s ability to receive cell broadcast is OS-agnostic, but the OS needs to listen to it, interpret it and react in appropriate way, and that’s what’s missing - and that’s what Guido, Evangelos et al. have been working on recently upstream; this work I expect to be integrated in PureOS dawn.
