Hi @Dlonk
May you share on ALL Librem5 Liberty:
sudo cat /sys/kernel/debug/edt_ft5x06/lic_version /sys/kernel/debug/edt_ft5x06/fw_version
Also:
cat /proc/cpuinfo
Please.

@carlosgonz so, please, how to know if/when touchscreen firmware will be fully open source so switchable from proprietary to free? Using general command: sudo librem5-firmware-upgrade?
Gracias
Not this command, however L5 ship a command to Burn the firmware to touchcontroller, however i not sure if work as Purism shipped a fancy and newer touchcontroller-combo(on date) than the generic driver. So as on my research the Librem 5 Touchcontroller-&-Display is a dedicated and professional piece, so this is why you do not see any malfunction Librem 5 display.
So to me the Librem 5 is OMG Device, just exept the Apple SIM Tray.
FT8622 → L5
FT8722 the open driver already exist, and this model support 90hz LTPO, will nice for Librem 5 Liberty and Fir.
Edit: So if you put a Android/Linux Pixels display on Librem 5, Librem5 will turns it to ashes in a day. ![]()
Edit1:
Last night i found that L5 touchcontroller ship a PRAM option, this enable me to reverse engineering without burn the binary, so still long way but not impossible.
You’re doing a such great job, Carlos!!! Congratulations!! ![]()

Hi @carlosgonz, sorry I missed your message. I happened to stop by forums and see this while traveling but I only have one of the Librem 5 liberties on me at the moment.
The older one (which I have at the moment) says the following (It’s the older one that says “Librem 5 USA” on the side. The newer one that says “Librem 5 Liberty” on the side is not with me at the moment.):

Hello. I got my hands on device with the “Librem 5 Liberty” logo on the side. Different device from the one that I reported above. This other one also reported the same 7 and 2 in the output, in that order.
The cpuinfo output was also the same.
Note that the display must be ON or both lic and fw version will both return 0.
