So I can speak to the Monero bit a little. While I’m not the point person in the Monero community for interfacing with Purism this is something that I have followed intensely because I would love to spend XMR whenever and wherever. The last meta workgroup public discussion we had about this I had raised concerns around the Librem Pay et al apps being mentioned in the Librem One reveal blog post, but no mention of Monero w/ respect to Librem Pay
rehrar ended up talking to Todd on 2019/05/15 and I quote from rehrar:
In short, Purism is super excited about Monero still, and don’t really care for any other cryptocurrencies because Monero matches their philosophy on right to privacy built in and by default. Especially with their Librem Pay, where he confirmed the idea that people will be able to pay everyday merchants using Monero integrated through their service.
They want to see the application be adaptive, to work on desktop and mobile depending on size
So if anyone has any questions, feel free to ping myself or rehrar or dsc on #monero-community on freenode, but the short of it is, yes it’s still happening, abet in the preliminary stages and I’ll continue to nip at the heels of the relevent GUI folk (and contribute localization myself) to make sure it does get followed through.
Edit: Namely we’re still waiting I think for Purism to point us at the Librem Pay repo so we can start to think out the UX and flesh out the Monero aspect of it.
