I have not had a working offline dictonary app since my N900 died in what 2018-19?
what is the name of the app you screenshotted? how did you get it installed?
I had some larger dictionary app compatible with stardict but the UI was too big and kludged and even when I somehow managed to get all of the GUIstuff clicked it wouldn’t load my dictionaries.

ok, now I remember, this one requires either building a dictionary server at localhost or having one available online, I spent a few days trying to get gnome-dictionary to work a few years back, too bad as the GUI is nicely sized. For those looking for stardict files, released for free, here is the archive of these free and user shared dictionaries lost when parts of the stardict website became broken. My Files
OK, two hours fighting with the assistance of GPT and pyglossary seems somehow hosed as is my ability to use these dicts so far as I can, wonder how much trouble I caused with using pip…… If anyone ever finds this carved on a cave wall I know these files worked on the Nokia N900 dictionary app, not sure why they are failing us now…… send smoke signals and thump a log if you solve the issue.
