Notebook improvements

Very great improvement of librem book, would be if it supports common access cards, and also it would have NFC, so I can just lay phone near notebook and it’ll sync stuff and I could write SMS on computer, and control phone from computer, even better if also controlling phone programatically by computer using NFC. So I can hook it to my personal asistent better.

You can use either of these instructions for Linux distributions:

But does it have integrated reader? It’s really weird to have notebook on battery and still have plugged in accessories.

No it does not, nor am I aware of any other laptop satisfying that requirement.

Dell Precision got them, also with workstation GPU for like 1500€ per piece.

Is it a requirement that it control your phone through NFC? If you are comfortable with connecting over WiFi (including a phone’s hotspot) and you are using PureOS GNOME you can try the extension GSConnect: GSConnect - GNOME Shell Extensions

Of course if you are using KDE you can simply use KDE connect.
