I do wonder, though, how Google-free a phone designed by/built by (?) Google itself can ever be? I would always wonder what spying-firmware is built in to it…but then I’m paranoid like that. 
It would be interesting if you monitored all internet connections for a while to see if it connects to nefarious or unknown sites.
