I got message that there are new updates for my phone. Phone downloaded the updates, after reboot got screen: " Installing Updates… Do not turn off your phone 87% complete " After 87% the updating has not progressed further.

Right, and if dpkg was interrupted, you can use this command to correct it: sudo dpkg --configure -a

Wait half an hour or so, then report back.

Okay, well your options are simple: Wait. Turn off and on. It is up to you to choose which one you think will likely resolve your issue.

[image] FranklyFlawless: Turn off and on. If doing that then I would suggesting going again, and trying to install updates from the shell, so that you might get a decent error message.

And also worthwhile to check df /boot to make sure that it didn’t fill up (whether that is relevant depends on precisely what was being updated in this particular set of updates i.e. kernel or only other things).

Previously I had problem with full /boot partition, so I made sure that it has enough space before I updated anything. I will wait first if I get reply from Purism support. I would like to avoid flashing it again, because I don’t have recent backups… Well, nothing much important there anyway.

I pressed volume down and something happened. It seems to be problem with systemd… Switching on/off the kill switch tries to start/stop network service. Stopping works, but starting does not work. [111] [222]

I rebooted phone and it said “press control-C to cancel all filesystem” But because of scaling I didn’t see rest of the text. Now it seems to work and I received some sms already.

I close the ticket but I feel that I am not going to update my librem 5 for anytime soon. Second time I had problems with updates. Nowadays 4G has stopped to work with Librem5 in my area. If I call to someone using 4G and they don’t answer, there is no dial tone. I can fix the problem either by reb…

Just for the record: this was result when I did dpkg --configure -a I guess the update what caused the hang was before these were updated. root@pureos:/home/purism# dpkg --configure -a Setting up e2fsprogs (1.46.2-2+deb11u1) … update-initramfs: deferring update (trigger activated) e2scrub_all.s…

PureOS update got hanged at 87%
