Does it just work?
It works if you know what you do. And you can be free yourself and add a small micro binary Version of an Operating System or Kernel to your Computer.
However. Its hard to Understand if you are up on an modern computation or stand on giant shoulders. But you can test it. And what Dlonk not see was the point of compare between and merged of two sources from some stable open source code. If github or some attacker insert code it have to hide it through kind of a root kid before your eyes or from the compilation process. If you merge it to another system without… rootkit it would fail, or be seen.
In our world today its not so easy - more complex and more ugly. But will be there, if you look careful enough. Or edit and change enough or have only a well known system you fully understand.
