Select using `Shift+Home`: How to disable numpad when pressing shift

I am using a Librem 15 with PureOS.
I would like to disable the numpad. completely.

A very common thing I do on the keyboard is Shift+End to highlight/select everything from the cursor position to the end of the line and Shift+Home to highlight/select everything from the cursor to the beginning of the line.

I cannot figure out how to input those key combinations on the librem. When I have numlock off, Shift+Home gives me a 7 instead. When numlock is on, Shift+Home acts just like Home.
