I don’t mind youtube at all. But yes, DW is one of those independent sources (from the U.S.) of news, along with France24. They both hire English speakers for the U.S. & Brit audience. I use them to watch progress of s certain conflict to the east of them. I won’t say the don’t have bias, they just have a different bias.

It is also a “tell” of a trend if France and Germany agree on something.

Adding to the original post of @amarok, EFF has continued the investigation with a look at Fog Data Science. One article is here, but note that this is a series.

I have started seeing the information in these articles appearing on other sites as well, so maybe it will get some attention, at least among those who of us who are interested.
