There is a tag for AI (“ai”), which can be used to search for topics where the OP has added the tag.
(Because “AI” as a search term is too short for the regular search box.)

Does it display for you though?
It works when you do a search but …
Only if I type it in; then I can see the tag, and that it has been applied to two topics.
I notice also that other tags, not in the immediate list, and resumably including some user-generated, also appear as options as soon as I start typing in the tags box.
I meant specifically … does it display the tag in lists of topics? when viewing the topic?
For me, the tags are listed alongside the category … except when they aren’t. ???
No, I don’t see it there.

tag, which was also created by me a few weeks ago.

Yes but then when I scroll the topic back up to the top i.e. to the first post, the tag disappears.
I also don’t see the tag on the main (first screen) listing of topics.
I notice that after going to the top of this thread, if I start scrolling down, the ai
tag suddenly appears…
and the text is pale {which is the expected font treatment for tags, apparently).
Yes, the tag is correctly shown in the listing of posts that are the search results. That works for me just fine with tags:ai
Discourse chooses tags
