The Status of International Input Method in Librem 5

Hi. The CJK input method is unlikely to arrive at launch. Apart from that, there’s enough work with Latin-based input that there’s no definite plan for CJK. The community is welcome to step in and help, of course.

Will the Librem 5 work in Sweden, Norway and Finland?

The interesting thing about the screen is that you would expect it to be able to support more keys, but I’ve found that it doesn’t really do that in portrait orientation. In landscape orientation there is a lot more space to play with, and I hope we can do something with that. “Simple” languages with extended alphabets need to be handled better within the design. With Norwegian, I found that I could squeeze another key into the top row and fit two more on the second row. [squeekboard-nb-2019-0…
