Ok, so since this thread has the relevant topic, a small detail, but since it hasn’t been mentioned here before (as it may not be available for all [I use byz backports]):
L5 now has “new” feature: video recording! 
Just noticed Millipixels (0.22.0-1pureos3) has at some point added a little “Record” button next to normal camera shutter button. Shame on you, if you’ve noticed this and not notified the rest of us who didn’t know to look for it. How timely for the Oscars 
You get videos with it, from front and back. Apparently front (selfie-)camera gives H264 mp4 at 612x816 mirrored (left-right) and the main back camera resolution is 390x526. So, not using full capabilities yet. And if you want sound, remember to select “Handset - Built-in-audio” from sound settings. Unfortunately there’s no simple method to change the default recording destination folder from Video to somewhere in the SD card.
