I agree that the Advanced Privacy applet is very cool. As I said, it was fun to set a fake location when it was not needed to actually work (like in the Maps app).
Shame Sony wouldnât allow the XA2 - it is such a lovely phone. I got it 7 years ago because I was looking to compare LOS, eOS and Sailfish. Sailfish was not available due to geographical licensing restrictions, so I went with LOS and then eOS. Now I have a Pixel running GOS as my daily.
There was a problem with the eOS cloud a couple of years ago which meant that a lot of that data was lost. Months went by with people increasingly annoyed at not being able to access their stuff. Luckily I had transitioned away from it by then so was not affected. But I had moved away because the cloud aspect was not E2EE then (it may be by now - I know that was the plan).
Sometimes the problem it is usb cable, it need a serial-usb-cable approved.
if you have a newer-and-short usb cable you may retry it.
