I think I paid the shipping the first time around and just bought two batteries to off set the cost, but have since lost one of them. Originally I was thinking that shipping a battery was somehow expensive due to some regulations but when I just did a back phone case it was still $80. I live in the midwest usa, but nothing else I ship to me is that expensive.
Anyone else verify this? Am i doing like next day shipping or something? I dont think thats an option, and I think I remember the first time around that it took more than a few days to get the battery in the mail.
For comparison: a phone battery or a back case alone is a few-ounce package. Within the US, Ground Advantage for that is in the single digits, even with the lithium battery. A loose lithium-ion battery can’t go by air, but ground shipping is allowed with the right marking, and it doesn’t add much. $80 for both items points to a flat express or international rate in their checkout, not the real cost of the parcel. I’d ask support to ship it ground and quote the actual postage.
