Adding RAM to Librem 14

This may be a question for support, but I may get it answered here.

I have a brand new, not powered up Librem 14. I’m going to get it going this weekend. It will boot up with qubes.

I bought it with 8gb of ram, but I have two brand new 32gb sticks that I’m going to put in it. Should I put the ram in before I do the initial boot up, or get it set up and then put the ram in it?

Thanks for any advice.

I upgraded to 64gb of ram. I did it after the initial boot. I really don’t think it matters.

I would err on the side of caution and do an initial boot to make sure it’s all working before changing the RAM. That way if somehow the RAM doesn’t seat well (which will cause the boot to fail) then you know it’s not because of a manufacturing defect.

Actually the seating of the ram is an excellent point. I’ll get it running first then. Thanks for that.
