Not only that, but the user will have to use the Brave Browser as well, which has still a smaller
audience compared to Reddit 
Without hijacking the topic, I think better ways to advertise would actually be endorsements from projects like
https://prism-break.org and https://www.privacytools.io, and of course making some sort of affiliate program
for people to spread the word.
I wasn’t aware of that. However, you have a ~100% likelihood of showing the ad to somebody with a mindset that would appreciate such services 
Endorsement of course always help.
No need for an affiliate program. It’s much better those who spread the word obviously do so with sincere motives.
