Always Out of Stock

How can you ever be financially successful if your products are constantly out of stock? I’ve been looking at your Librem Mini for a while now and it’s constantly out of stock.

I guess stock will until Gavin Newsom 2028.

It’s out of stock because a new version (v3) (as well as the Librem 14 v2) is being developed, shown in their delivery chart: Product Stock Status and Delivery Lead Time – Purism.

The shop page for the Librem Mini also mentions the v3:

Note! The Librem Mini is currently out of stock while we are working on releasing its successor, the Librem Mini v3. Stay tuned!

I may depend on the software system used to control shipments. Do Open Orders put units out of stock ahead ahead of production? In other words does an Open Order peg the unit still on the assembly line to the customer? Otherwise there could be a moment in time where a unit is in stock (maybe a minute or two) before it is sold.

Personally, Id just wait for the new version of the Mini to be available, but if you want the previous version, I’m pretty sure Start9 is selling the Librem Mini rebranded as Server Pure:
