I ordered a Librem 14 in February when the delivery page showed a March ship date. Mid-March, they removed the Librem 14 from the page entirely, but the update date still says February 18 (which seems wrong). I reached out to support in February for an ETA but got no reply. Anyone have suggestions?

Please make Librem 14 v2 UNMACBOOK, please dont be evil.
Librem 14 is still on backorder and Purism expects to receive the next shipment this month. Feel free to message me with your support ticket number for escalation, or if you want to make any tweaks to your order prior to shipment.
Thank you.
Kindly requesting an update on the current delivery lead time.
As of my last update from the operations team yesterday morning, we are waiting on the parcel to ship the completed units from the factory and have not yet received a tracking number. Assuming the parcel is shipped soon (or already shipped and they forgot to follow up with us), the current estimate is that we will receive the barebone chassis at the warehouse next Wednesday, May 7. The units are then assembled, flashed with PureOS, undergo QA, then shipped in batches at the end of each day. I estimate that all backorders would likely be able to be assembled and shipped within 10 business days after we receive the shipment.
Update from the factory: the parcel of barebones Librem 14 is expected to reach LAX on May 1.
Thanks for the comprehensive response. Much appreciated.
Hello,
Thanks for the update. Are the units that (I assume) are currently being assembled only to fill backorders? The website says the Librem 14 is no longer being manufactured/sold.
If the 14 is, indeed, no longer being sold, when will it’s successor be available? I am interested in purchasing two of them and need them for a job currently underway, so I’m trying to gauge timeline on availability of either V1 14’s, or the successor v2 to release.
Thank you!
Correct. All remaining Librem 14 version 1 in this shipment are being used to fulfill backorders. There were a few order cancellations due to the delay, so those units will most likely be reserved to fulfill RMAs as needed.
So as of now, there is no telling when I might be able to buy a laptop (or two)?
If you want one from Purism, yes.
As an aside: I just got a used laptop with 11th Generation Intel Core i5-1145G7, 16GB RAM, 512GB NVMe SSD (only one SSD slot), two USB4 ports (pd and alt display), ethernet, two USB3.2 ports, HDMI2.0, micro-sd for $205 shipped. I paid an extra $50 and added 32GB RAM … so I’ve got 48GB RAM (Max 64GB). It looks to be a seldom-used corporate laptop.
Unfortunately it has Intel Boot Guard so, while that makes it safer to buy a used laptop, it means I can’t install Coreboot. That said, it was easy to wipe the system clean and upgrade drivers.
If you want Coreboot installed and from a Linux system vendor, I suppose you could look at System76. They have quite a few choices with Coreboot starting at $1,500.
