I needed to add my user account to the www-data group today and noticed that the gpasswd operation wouldn’t ‘stick’ until I actually rebooted the computer.
Used to be I could just log out and back in and the group change would be reflected at the terminal by running the groups command.
Is this an even further descent into madness on account of systemd(ildo)?
