Is there a good audio book player?
That can treat a folder as a book?
And have ability to have playback speed and resume position?
This one is pretty good 
You could install it either from Flathub, or from Purism’s flakpaks.

I couldn’t find it via the store, so added it like this. hope this is correct.
sudo flatpak remote-add --if-not-exists flathub https://flathub.org/repo/flathub.flatpakrepo
sudo flatpak install flathub com.github.geigi.cozy
flatpak installs are per user, no sudo necessary.
initially i did it without sudo, remotely over ssh as the purism user.
It prompted me for password (auth kit, or polkit, or something “kit”). After it prompted like 20+ times, I eventually cancelled it and did it via sudo and then only got like one prompt.
Once Flathub is installed, flatpaks will then appear in the store alongside native packages.
