Surely it’s me but I can’t move directory from one directory to accorge one inside! I tapped and hold tapped the directory to move and tried to paste it into another directory but no paste option. Maybe files app v43.2 still missing this option? Just curious to know!
I’m running Debian GNU/Linux 12 (bookworm) as per cat /etc/os-release and 6.6.0-1-Librem5 kernel! Another question, please: is it Crimson or don’t? I flashed Crimson but then I added non free repositories to install waydroid up*(dating/grading) it! Thank you
Do it in the shell?
Well I’d like to do it throw ui! Just I can’t figure out if it’s my mistake or just files app isn’t yet fully updated for touch copy/move and past!
In PureOS 11 (Crimson) phosh 0.34.0 with Files 43.2, press and hold opens the menu. There still isn’t drag-n-drop. (AFAICT)
6 posts were split to a new topic: Big Iron digression
Long-press copy, long-press paste into folder works for me on Crimson.
Alternative: Ctrl c to copy, Ctrl v to paste.
Most of the first post that was moved to the digression still applies. So I’ll repeat:
… don’t do a move without a backup. Otherwise do a copy, then delete afterward.
Another situation occurs when using RDS on a corporate Windoze server. Depending on how the network polizei configured their network security, you may not be able to copy or paste to your local system.
