Bluetooth not found

Hi,
On Librem 13V3 I have both Fedor 37 and Ubuntu 22
One moment the Bluetooth was working the next momoent(after changing from wayland to xorg) it simply stopped working
The GNOME setting GUI says “No Bluetooth Found”

bluetoothctl
waiting to connect to bluetoothhd

But nothing happens
Checking about the service returns:

root@ubuntu-librem:/home/sherab# systemctl start bluetooth.service
root@ubuntu-librem:/home/sherab# systemctl status bluetooth.service
○ bluetooth.service - Bluetooth service
Loaded: loaded (/lib/systemd/system/bluetooth.service; enabled; vendor preset: enabled)
     Active: inactive (dead)
       Docs: man:bluetoothd(8)

Mar 21 11:45:58 ubuntu-librem systemd[1]: Condition check resulted in Bluetooth service being skipped.

It also does not work with a Fedora 37 on the same machine (different partition)
Bluez is installed
But the GNOME interface says no

Any advice?

: (

  • WPAN breaker is OFF.
  • WPANWLAN is damage.
  • WPAN linux module is missing or unload or unstable.
The best i recommend it is to change the controller for other.

What is WPAN? If it is the side mechanical switch than it is on

Wi-Fi is working fine. So I’d take it to mean the module is not broken??

How’s do I find it and why did it disappeared just like that. Also I’ve reinstalled Ubuntu 22 and the same problems continues.

How do I change the controller??

Is Bluetooth disabled in software?

Is the proprietary firmware blob available? (required for Bluetooth?, not required for WiFi?)

Is the WiFi/BT module in the wrong operating mode?

Sounds like the hardware is fine - as you observe, WiFi is working fine.

I would suggest you need to look in the system log to see whether any potentially informative messages are being output during boot.

Also, it is probably easier to boot with the WiFi/BT module killed via the kill switch, let the boot settle down (so it has finished outputting a zillion messages to the system log) and then switch on the WiFi/BT module.

This advice is of a general nature. I don’t own a Librem laptop.

sudo dmseg | grep blue
returns nothing

sherab@sherab-Librem-13-v4:~$ systemctl start bluetooth.service
sherab@sherab-Librem-13-v4:~$ systemctl status bluetooth.service
