I recognize the problem of a browser doing PGP encryption or PGP decryption. Just the thought is that the encryption and decryption can be, perhaps should be, handled by a different program, when the computer itself is offline.
Librem Social is the only service we have a web interface for. It is public where all others are to be private and secure. Because of the inherit security risks with running things in your browser (JavaScript injection attacks being one example), it is a conscience decision we made to require an app to use said services.
We want to hold as little of your data as possible and what ever we do have, we want to be encrypted.
