It’s easy to over-do that. One “-” or “_” is a good start. Too many separators a not good either, making filenames too long for view (I’d take out the “IMG” at the start) and “:” may cause problems in file names when transferring to certain devices.
(And just to be clear, these are merely very minor usability annoyances in the grand scheme)
