Can I use gpg keys for encrypted Thunderbird (102.6.0) Mail?

I recently followed the “About the Librem Key” to create gpg keys.

Can I use them to encrypt my email account with the keys, and if so, how?(step by step would be helpful)
Thanks

I followed this post and got further along (Thunderbird config. Then I ran gpg --output private.pgp --armor --export-secret-key username@email and used the OpenPGP Key Manager to import my private key. I also had to double click the key in the key manager and set to verified. After I also imported the public key this worked.
