Can PureO/S be used to format a

Windows 10 laptop HDD? Fat or NTSB?

If Yes, I will remove the laptop HDD (LTHDD), plug it in to the PureOS desktop, and format the LTHDD. Both off of course. then boot Pure and format.

WHY?
The LTs HDD had Win 7 on it. I DL’ed the Windows Full Install and installed it. It took 40 minutes to get to "Help Us Beat the Robots :face_with_symbols_over_mouth: and it went to Sending the verification email. I entered the 6 digits code into the box on LT and clicked “Next”.
It opened a blue screen (they al were)with Help Us Beat the Robots - again. And no where to any any thing else except go back.

This time I want to wipe the bajeepers out of the HDD with a whole clean re-format and start all over.
Too, I need at least one Win 10 on the network to control the bridging on network due to the age of the PureOS desktop, with 4 other OS’s (they’re my hobby).

NTFS-progs should help… I usually install gparted on every machine…

Go into gparted and use View / File System Support. It will tell you in gruesome detail what you can do with each type of file system, and what packages you need to install to work with said file system.

Absolutely, this is what I was meaning. Although I was not verbose enough to be of service.

Yes, but I suggest using a PureOS image on a Live USB for efficiently formatting the LPHDD and the PureOS desktop in one session with GNOME Disks.
