I just want to return the non-working phone. Support keeps asking me to try this and that which is great if I can TURN ON THE PHONE, which I cannot at this point.

Slightly off-topic, but I have a hunch that support is trying to help you turn on the phone. Sorry if the phone disappoints you. It’s rather moody when the battery is empty.
