Cannot open lid anymore (librem 13 v4)

Hello everybody,
I am wondering if anybody at a similar issue before with the librem 13.

A couple of days ago the lid began to be a bid loose in open state, but actually it was still fine for me. But since yesterday I cannot open the lid anymore. I opened it, but I am not able to figure out how to fix it.
When I opened it, a very tiny plastic part fall apart.
Well, here are some pics:

I hope anybody can give me a hint how to fix it. I really like(d) my librem. By the way it is still working with an external monitor and keyboard.

Thanks a lot in advance

I have a similar issue with my Librem 13 version 4. When opening the lid, the right hinge corner gets expanded and causes the back cover to come off near that corner. And yes, at one point a piece of plastic chipped off when opening the lid.

My workaround is to open the lid slightly so that I could put my thumb under the lid, and hold that corner firmly while opening the lid in full. It cracks, but opens and stays assembled. Thankfully, I don’t need to do it often as I mostly use it with external monitor and keyboard/mouse.

But yeah, something must be bloody wrong with the design in there.

I had the same issue with my Librem 13v4. I’m not a big fan of press-in inserts because they still rely on a relatively weaker plastic anchor point and you run into the issue you’re experiencing when the anchor points wear out. I personally used an epoxy to repair the anchor point, let it cure for about a day, then reassembled the enclosure. It’s working fine as of the time I’m writing this. I improvised and didn’t follow these instructions, but [maybe this guide] (https://www.instructables.com/Laptop-Hinge-Repair-Brass-Insert-Reattachment/) could be helpful for someone.
