Can't decrypt Librem 15 v3 hard drive after update

I got a notification today for an OS update on Librem 15 v3, and I clicked “Restart and install”. It rebooted, and I put in the drive password. It performed the updates, and rebooted again. Putting in the same password now fails with the error:

cryptsetup (sda5_crypt): cryptsetup failed, bad password or options?

I’ve tried repeatedly, but haven’t been able to get in.

This problem only seems to exist for the newest kernel 4.13.0-1-amd64. If I boot into the previous one 4.12.0-1-amd64, I can get in just fine

I have the same issue running PureOS in virutal mode on a macbook. cryptsetup failed, also i am getting the message exceeded max login attempts, if that happens, does the timer ever reset?
