Can't Load Pic to text message any more

Process:

  1. Take pic

  2. Open Text message tool.

  3. Type a note.

  4. Tap Attach icon 10 -15 times. It will open File Manager. program eventually..

  5. In File Manager now, tap wanted image.
    Cursor will jump up to image at top of list and load that.
    Tap the correct image again.
    Same happens.

  6. Retry from step 2 and when tap image step, scroll the list -
    Same old, same old… Ground hog day?

Tried:

    • Cancelled text, open text messenger. started new text; repeated the above. Definition of insanity.
    • Cancelled text and rebooted phone (Shut off - wait - watch life pass by - reboot.
    • Started new text. This time start to attach image first - same thing the highlight of the wanted image jumps to top of list highlighting the wrong text to “Open”.
    • Shut down phone:
      Unplugged power. Removed battery, watched life pass by. Plugged battery back in.
      *Repeated start of new text, attach open image same happens.

How I did make it go.
I opened Warp on two computers - this one and a Windows one.
I transferred the image from PureOS to Windows.
Opened Tbird,
Attached image Sent - done.

I liked the way L5 attached and sent images. Did someone update that?

May I get the old working version of attach image part?

Odd.
Mine opens the file manager (as it should) to select a file (picture) to attach.

I stand corrected. It is file manager - mine on Click attach open my picture folder - at least that’s all that’s in the folder. There is nothing to indicate where one is. I know, I can change folders by tapping the icon at the very bottom left.

Knowing it’s the File Manager didn’t change the effects - no matter what pic I tap to attach, I still get the one at the top of the file list.

I will edit my post to correct Image Viewer to File Mngr.

I don’t know how to fix it, but I would just use the arrow keys and the enter/return key to get around your problem
