Co-ordering from Purism shop to Germany

My L5 back cover is a bit broken after 2,5 years of using the phone. So I want to order a replacement from Purism’s shop.
But the shipment costs to Germany are pretty high ($64.84).

Is someone in Germany/Europe interested in purchasing (other stuff from their shop) together in order to share the shipping fee? Distributing those parts then via DHL or so in Germany/Europe is usually pretty cheap (a few Euros).

If you are interested, reach me out via this forum or via Matrix (@jonsger:tchncs.de).

If you have access to a 3D printer, you could look into printing one: https://forums.puri.sm/t/replacement-back-covers/19471/8

From one user’s experience, it was more flexible than the official cover (later in the thread).

before finishing your order I suggest contacting support and have them confirm the shipping cost. I found that support can reduce the shipping cost if it is unusually high. The shipping calculator seems to have some issues with it.

it is cheap, if you do not like it travel to usa and buy one. If its about the display and not about the plastic cover. Buy a new phone and sell the rest you do not need.

If you feel not right, have more patience and buy a used librem 5 on ebay.

I have thought about that, but the offerings in Germany for Librem 5’s are between 400€ and 650€. And some of them may not have the SparkLAN WiFi Module. So I need to order that as well from Purism, because the Redpine one is crap (sorry for the harsh wording)…

You can purchase a new Librem 5 from the FLOSS Shop for €599:

The Purism community forums also has various listings available with the marketplace tag.

I don’t want a new Librem 5. I have mine only since March 2022, which is not a long time. But as ordering replacement parts (back cover, display module) from Europe is pretty expensive, I had a look onto alternatives…

How worse is broken is its back Cover? Maybe you can just go to a Fablab and 3D Print kind of an envelope as or a new Back Cover.
