Hello,
I recently upgraded my laptop to Crimson. Ever since, my computer is completely freezing up about once per day and I’m having to do a hard shutdown.
Just thought I’d share.
What computer, how much ram?
Some user reported freeze times ago, i not sure if it is same case here.
Librem 14, 32GB RAM
Have you updated EC, Coreboot, Pureboot to last version?
All I did was a complete upgrade from a thumb disk, overwriting the old. If that didn’t upgrade those things, then no.
It probably wouldn’t have.
Have you reverted to byzantium?

Command I used to get journal logs is ~$ sudo journalctl -k
These are the last few seconds before hard shutdown. From what I can tell, this is either a kernal issue or a hardware issue. I have no idea how to diagnose the problem. Also, I don’t know if I did it right, but I’m trying to get the pasted logs to show properly within this reply. If I haven’t done that when you see this, let me know how to, will you?
So what about a LiveBoot of byzantium for a long enough period to expect to experience a freeze if it’s going to happen? (in an attempt to distinguish between a hardware issue and a kernel regression)
It may help to keep a paper log of crimson freeze events so that, for example, you can determine how long you would want to run byzantium before tentatively concluding that the problem is a kernel regression.
