Current status of Tutanota, Wire apps

Got my Librem 5 within the past week. I depend pretty heavily on the Tutanota email application and the Wire messaging application. I have had no luck installing or getting them to work for me, even creating a web app won’t work on those.

Has anyone else found a way to get them to work?

Hi @dln949 ,

I contacted tutanota.
They suggested to install the flatpak application.
Installation actually works. But when I try to log in, typing my email address, I hit a html snag that I cannot resolve. Could anyone else give a try?

This is how you install the flatpak application via terminal:

flatpak remote-add --if-not-exists flathub https://flathub.org/repo/flathub.flatpakrepo
flatpak install com.tutanota.Tutanota

click “Show all Apps” and you will see a Tutanota app.
click a the “Tutanota” app.
enter an abc@tutanota.de and you will hit the snag and can no longer type to login.
this looks to me like a PureOS problem, but no idea how to resolve.

I dont think i could log in when i originally tried.

@Captain_Morgan could you try to install the faltpak and enter your login credentials?
Maybe you understand more what we could do to ship around this html bug.

Could it have anything to do with:

The weird part is that the flathub flatpak version installed on L5 is 3.50…
However if you head over to the flathub webpage the version available shows as 3.95
https://flathub.org/apps/details/com.tutanota.Tutanota

running history:
<$ flatpak remote-info --log flathub com.tutanota.Tutanota
Remote ‘flathub’ found in multiple installations:

  1. system
  2. user
