Epiphany (flathub) won't start

I have been using the Flathub version of GNOME Web (Epiphany) for some time on PureOS Byzantium. It is on version 46.3. Today, it does not start anymore. When I run it from terminal, it gives the following error. Does this happen to anybody else?

$ flatpak run org.gnome.Epiphany

On the other hand, the web applications work normally, even though I created them with the Flathub version of GNOME Web.

I removed the package, then installed in again. The issue persists.

The browser starts again after deleting the application data.

I backed up the passwords before deleting the data.
