Ah, that explains. As I’ve ordered on Oct. 9, 2018, and have yet to receive an address confirmation mail.
Guessing you ordered more or less around the same time? Well, seeing as how they’re apparently shipping early September 2018 orders, I guess our wait is almost over.
Ordered mine in January 2020. I can’t believe it’s been so long. I wonder if I’ll get it before Christmas this year or if it will be 2023.

No I ordered mid 2019. Purism challenged themselfes “internally” trying to reach shipping parity or fullfill all backorders in 2022. So we will see if they succeed. As much as I look forward to get it into my hands I can wait even longer if that means purism employees avoid issues e.g. burnout. What I think is that we tread each other zs humans, fair with solidarity.

Immediate started unpacking (everything alright in neat little box) and are in the process of charging … Have to wait for an hour (says the booklet) before further exploration.
I’m happy and exited after the long wait. (in Dutch: "Lang gewacht, stil gezwegen. Nooit verwacht, toch gekregen)

I think you are supposed to post when you do receive something (either an email or a phone) so that other people can see where Purism is up to - and in theory other customers can use that to extrapolate when their phone will arrive.
As you can see, Purism is working on orders from approximately early October 2018 - so yours may not be too far away.

Also, based on my L5 order(Aug 2018) and address verification email (July 5 which I verified same day), since I ordered Purism’s Awesom phone service, my thoughts are that they are appropriately holding off on sending my L5 until their new service is set and they have the SIM card for that new service. I gladly will wait since I want to try the phone service, and I will also receive updated Linux OS and software. Then the expierence with tinkering around with Linux in a new form factor will begin with the possibility of chucking my privacy intrusive system sometime in the future
