Because I ordered the SIMple, my phone was being held until such time as the SIM problems are rectified. I finally emailed support who offered to send the phone order and later send the SIM order when the problems are solved. I received the phone and will familiarizing myself with it and (since I do not use the ācloudā Iāll be hand entering stuff like contacts and calendar data.

Special orders vary, and may delay shipping: my address verification was emailed back this last summer(July 2022), but I ordered AweSIM and my shipping seems to be delayed because of the changing of service provider for AweSIM. No worries on my part as when I receive my L5 the software will be farther along than last summer 
It has been fun just watching all the L5s being shipped out and knowing that there is Linux phone dev and support happening with all our support!

My 9rder date (31/01/2019) is getting tantalizingly close. But I havenāt received the confirmation mail just yet.
There must have been peak in the orders in the last week before the price hike, I guess.

Mine was a day before you on 30/1/2019 and I have not yet received a confirmation email. However, someone on 29/1/2019 has as of December 7, 2022. So we are almost two weeks later and it seems like there have not been anymore confirmation emails since those for Jan 29 and before.
Shipping isnāt strictly monotonic, the exact order may depend on region to ship to, whether there were some accessories selected etc; some devices may even ship independently from Europe, and I believe confirmation e-mails are being sent in small batches anyway. So while other peopleās order dates can give you a pretty good approximation of where in the queue is your order, itās not an exact data point that can be simply extrapolated like that.

So, the verification mails for January 29th orders were sent beginning of December. And after that things stalled. Wonder what happened thereā¦
It appears so. My order was the following day on Jan 30 2019 and I have yet to receive a confirmation email.
