I ordered my L5 in September of 2019. It wasnât too long after I placed my order, that the refund scandal and negative discussions occurred on this board because people werenât happy. No one was getting either refunds nor their L5 then and it was obvious then that Purusm had unilaterally and retroactively changed the refund policy, effectively screwing a lot of people with no direct admissions nor apologies. So my guess is that L5 pre-orders dropped sharply at that point as people who were new to the forum read the negative comments here at that time. If that is the case, then my shipment is probably less than five or six months from being shipped now, behind fewer orders in the queue. I base this not on what Purism says theyâll do, but by my watching what they are actually doing and have done in the past. If they ship sooner, Iâll be happy.

NOTE: I replied to the email, asking if a refund was available, now that my device is ready to ship. However, I no longer have the same credit card I did when I ordered this over four years ago. I asked them about this situation and how else I could get a refund. I have yet to hear a response back. I fully expect to have to wait another four years for a response. They might respond⌠Who knows? Hell might freeze over.
