My Librem 5 is incredibly unresponsive to the power button. You have to spend probably at least thirty seconds fidgeting with the button to turn it off and/or on. The machine sometime fully shuts itself off.
I wanted to ask if this was a known issue and/or if I should report it somewhere. The device has become pretty struggling to utilize because of this issue.
For the individuals that run Mobian, do you also experience an incredibly laggy/unresponsive power button? I immensely appreciate any discussion.
Edit: My current plan is to switch to PostmarketOS soon if this is indeed a standard issue with Mobian. However, I wanted to ask the community first to see if the bug needed to be reported or if it is well known.

after my further review, it looks like perhaps it does respond to the power button but takes about five seconds to respond. Do others share this experience?
My theory is that perhaps I had been assuming it was not responding and pressing it a second time (leading to the device becoming confused). Sometimes it also shows the loading circle.

it also sometimes switches to this text based screen that I think has a message about the locale
—I have been struggling to get a good photo of it.
The device also freezes upon this screen and does not appear to move past it (it requires I fully restart the device):

For fault isolation purposes, did you ever test the power button when running PureOS?
If you press and hold the power button then it will do a hard power-off … and that may be independent of the operating system. That may explain why sometimes the phone shut off when you were fidgeting.
