It’s a decent video, well made but naturally kept superficial, particularly for those that want an overview of the problem.
For context, SS7 is the network protocol behind global phone infrastructure and its problems are not really something that can be answered with in handsets at device level (not including using alternative networks, of course, like with encrypted data based communications), unless you count (HW switch) killing your phone modem.
